Recognition Opportunities

From Vision to Reality – Funding Unique Spaces

It’s been almost five years since the first “wish list” for the new Interlochen Public Library was put to paper. From there, the library board and a small group of volunteers worked with library staff to solidify “must haves.” Finally, architect John Dancer put a plan on paper, emphasizing,”This is a 21st Century Library.”

“What we raise during the final months of the campaign will help determine how close we come to our vision,” said Campaign Co-Chair Mark Payne. “We don’t want to cut corners, but certain elements of our vision, like new technology, can become expensive. We’ve also seen an increase in building material costs since the initial estimate,” explained Payne.
